The DCCI is the first chamber in the UAE to introduce an online E-Mediation request form on its web site.

Jehad explained that the Better Business Desk succeeded in resolving numerous trade disputes in the past. In 2004, the desk effectively settled 195 trade disputes and the number is increasing continually.

She added that the form not only saves time and effort of the complainant but also reflects DCCI's policy of providing accessible enhanced services to the business community. The form requires information about the complainant, the respondent, brief about the dispute and the complainant's demand.

Jehad also added that this new service will reduce the cost of sending the form by post or fax to the complainant, plus it will be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and this will ease and facilitate the procedure of obtaining the form.
