The agreement will also help in streamlining commercial exchange, organising joint events, training of staff and exchange of information and expertise.

“Signing the MoU comes within the Authority’s initiatives to enhance the levels of customs performance and achieve the strategic objectives facilitating trade ,” said Khaled Ali Al Bustani, FCA’s Deputy General Manager.

Al Bustani said the MoU aims at improving economic partnership framework with FCA’s key partners, especially private sector organisations and businesses.

“It also involves coordination and cooperation with the Chamber to streamline commercial exchange obstacles facing exporters and importers and to open communication channels with them on issues related to economic regulations and customs,” Al Bustani said.
