Central Bank issues notice for holidays
DUBAI - All banks in UAE will remain closed from Thursday December 1, until Saturday December 3, on the occasion of 40th National Day and Hijri new Year, according to a Central Bank circular issued on Monday. The banks will resume operation on Sunday.
The Central Bank in a statement on Monday said: “Official work shall resume on Sunday 4th of December 2011.” The bank further advised banks to announce dates of closure to their customers through appropriate means. Bank are required to ensure that their ATMs are properly stocked with cash at all times, the statement added.
