Epitomising the supermarket concept, the French major will be located in DIP-I and spread over 30,000 sq. ft. to serve as a convenient shopping destination for the 100,000-strong DIP community. Carrefour will be the largest supermarket in DIP and is scheduled to open by the end of 2012. An additional 10,000 sq ft is allotted for a food court in the facility.
Omar AlMesmar, General Manager, Dubai Investments Park, said: “The arrival of Carrefour further affirms our efforts to provide wide-ranging amenities that facilitate living at DIP and offer a convenient option to meet the everyday requirements of its residents. We will continue our efforts to offer dwellers and employees in DIP a better standard of living through convenience and leisure options.”
The store will offer approximately 12,000 food and household products. Due to its massive buying power, the chain brings with it a value-for-money proposition for quality commodities.
