Cabinet sets up e-commerce commission

ABU DHABI - The Federal Cabinet yesterday approved the setting up of a national e-Commerce Committee to draw plans in the emerging strategic sector.

The Committee will work out plans to encourage introduction of e-Commerce applications and link the country with the AGCC states. Meeting yesterday under Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, the Council of Ministers passed an agreement for encouragement and protection of investment with South Korea.

Another agreement for commercial and economic cooperation with New Zealand was also approved.
