CA launches message manager with Arabic support

DUBAI — CA , one of the world's largest IT management software companies, recently announced the launch of the CA Message Manager Email archive and management solution, part of the BrightStor Enterprise Storage Solution set. This version of the product will support Arabic and other non-English characters and is aimed at extending CA's leadership in the field of Intelligent Storage Management (ISM).

Abdul Karim Riyaz, Regional Director of CA's Storage and Protection Business in the EMEA Eastern markets told the Press: “CA recorded $2.4 billion turnover in the storage market globally and the Middle East represents 12 per cent of this amount. At present, regional organisations are under intense pressure to improve management and protect important data, including emails and unstructured records that comprise a big part of the modern business environment. By enhancing our BrightStor enterprise portfolio with a localised version of CA Message Manager, we can now offer our clients in the Middle East a complete and streamlined approach to manage and protect the wide spectrum of local information assets based on multiple languages across enterprises which will eventually reinforce their global presence."

CA Message Manager Email archive and management solution is expected to aid Middle Eastern companies achieve global compliance and enhance business dealings with globally-compliant companies as it provides comprehensive, enterprise message management and archiving for email, instant messages as well as data across leading platforms such as Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g and Novell GroupWise.

CA's Message Manager is a user friendly system, which will also support data in the Arabic language thereby assisting regional companies attain global compliance.

In Support of CA's localised version of Message Manager, Muntaser Ayyash, IT Infrastructure Manager, of PWC Logistics said: “Compliance will play a very important role in business activities in the near future. PWC has global operations and some of our key clients are from the Western markets. We are well aware of the global regulations and will be working closely with CA to see how the new version of CA Message Manager will help PWC attain global compliance standards, especially with the new Arabic function."
