Business volumes, in terms of calls serviced, grew from 1.4 million calls to an impressive 4.1 million since its establishment. The announcement came at Buzz's second anniversary celebration held in Dubai. "We started our journey in March 2002 with a modest15 seat setup to service the Emirates Bank Group (EBG) internal call centre service requirements. We grew to a 70 seat call centre the following year and today we run a 120 seat operation servicing both internal clients across the Emirates Bank Group as well as external third party clients across multiple vertical sectors, a business which has grown from 5 per cent in our first year to 20 per cent last year," said Ibrahim Gailani, business manager at Buzz.

Buzz expects the business to grow over 30 per cent this year as it expands its external focus and aims to attract clients from across the Middle East and North Africa region.

As the company celebrated its second anniversary, John Critchley, one of Buzz's founding fathers retired this year. Abdullah Qasim, head of ITO Emirates Bank Group will take over Critchley's position as head of Buzz, with a mandate to further expand the company's third party business over the next few years. "My goal is to drive third party business to 50 per cent and 80 per cent over the next 2 years respectively and to make Buzz the outsource solution provider of choice for the leading companies in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA)."

At the second anniversary' celebrations Buzz distributed awards to staff members as well as clients and strategic partners. Client and partner awards went to First Gulf Bank (FGB) for 'Preferred Third Party Client,' Insights Middle East for 'Best Skill-Based Training and Inspiring Performance for 'Best Motivational Training.
