The move was triggered by growing demand for BenQ digital products in the Middle East. The Jebel Ali centre will remain the main engine for distribution the company's assortment of Joybook notebook computers. The stylish, lightweight multimedia devices are designed to link varied technologies through a single device. The joybook provides a platform for connecting personal digital equipment, editing videos, sharing files and storage functionality.

The Centre also handles about sixty per cent of product shipments into the Middle East and the African markets. Hence the enlargement of the centre will provide more space for goods to be imported through Dubai for distribution across AGCC, Levant and North Africa.
