Baring set to deliver 20 per cent in returns

DUBAI — The Baring EMEA Absolute Return Fund, launched in November 2005 has announced first quarter returns putting them firmly on track towards delivering target net returns in the region of 20 per cent per year, with annualised volatility of around 15 per cent.

Speaking in detail about the performance of the Baring EMEA Absolute Return Fund, Marina Akopian, Manager, believes there are three main drivers behind the long-term strong performance of EMEA markets — global liquidity, further progress in domestic reforms and restructuring, and the existence of a "supercycle" in commodities.
