'BankMuscat best bank in Oman'
MUSCAT — For the fourth successive year, Euromoney 2005 awards for excellence has declared BankMuscat as the best bank in Oman. The award was based on the product mix, financial performance, asset and revenue quality, customer satisfaction, and IT systems and offerings of the bank.
All leading banks were evaluated by Ernst & Young across 13 parametres in which BankMuscat was ranked the highest in terms of operational efficiency and growth in core banking activity. The paid-up capital of BankMuscat stands at $178.8 million and total assets at $4.8 billion. It is the largest bank in Oman, which was recently cleared by the Central Bank of Oman to raise its capital through GDRs.
