It has been organised by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) of Bangladesh in collaboration with the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Dubai. The Bangladesh pavilion will feature products of 17 companies over a 150 square metre area. Few public sector companies including the Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) and Bangladesh Tea Board are participating at the fair this year along with the private sector.
Mirza Shamsuzzaman, the Bangladesh Ambassador to UAE, said: "There is a growing concern for protection of environment throughout the world widening scope for the environment-friendly jute goods which have a good reputation in the world market for its top quality and competitive price. The pavilion will also exhibit a wide range of high quality exportable items starting from traditional dresses like saree, punjabi, handicrafts, artificial flower, tea,tableware, kitchenware, plastic, metal, glass products and herbal products."
The exhibition is scheduled from January 10 to 14 at the Dubai International Exhibition Center (DIEC) with 10 per cent increase in exhibitor turnout compared to last year. It is being organised by the Dubai-based Al Fajer Information and Services, the IATF is seen to be a perfect venue to forge new alliances and expand businesses contributing to the economy of the UAE.
