New Indian routes on hold

DUBAI — Emirates on Wednesday put to rest speculation in aviation circles that it is planning four new routes into India. The Middle East’s largest carrier, in response to questions by this newspaper, said it has no “immediate plans” to increase its Indian routes.

Air Arabia fleet to reach 44 by end-2013: Adel Ali

Air Arabia’s fleet will reach 44 by the end of next year and it will continue to explore new markets, according to group chief executive officer Adel Ali. The Sharjah-based budget airline currently operates a total fleet of 31 new Airbus A320 aircraft, serving 75 routes from three hubs in UAE, Morocco and Egypt.
