Video: Boeing forced to park grounded 737 Max jets in employee parking lot

Boeing said the move was part of its 'inventory-management plan'.

Boeing's top-selling aircraft has been taken out of service worldwide since an Ethiopian Airlines 737 MAX crashed in March, five months after a Lion Air 737 Max plunged into the sea off Indonesia. A total of 346 people died in the two disasters.
Critics accuse Boeing of failing to sufficiently test a system that used just one sensor to determine if the 737 was at risk of stalling, and of failing to adequately inform and train pilots. The company has been working on a software fix to get the jet back flying by the end of the year.
Boeing now has many planes waiting to be repaired at its Washington State factory in Renton right now it has now resorted to take up the employee car parking space to park these planes.

Boeing said the move was part of its "inventory-management plan", according to Business Insider.
An aerial video shared by Seattle's KING 5 News shows 737s sandwiched next to employees' sedans and minivans.

According to NW News Network, new 737s are also being shuttled to Grant County International Airport in Moses Lake, Washington. Other planes are being stored temporarily in San Antonio, Texas, where Boeing has a maintenance base.

Boeing is currently in talks with other airlines for sales of its grounded 737 Max after receiving a letter of intent for 200 planes from British Airways owner IAG at the Paris Airshow.
Boeing had opened the show on a sombre note and suffered a further setback when General Electric disclosed a delay of months in supplying engines for the new 777X at the start of the show due to a component flaw.
