Kuwait Airways (KA) will resume normal flight operations from and to Cairo, starting Thursday, March 26.

Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported that the airline will operate the four flights per week to the Egyptian capital via King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

This comes after flight disruptions due to the US-Israel-Iran war, which has led to airspace closures as Iran missiles continue to attack Gulf countries.

Passengers will be provided land transport from Al Khairan Mall in Kuwait to Dammam. Kuwait Airways will provide a limousine service to transport Royal and Business Class passengers from their houses to Khairan Mall based on service requests.

The buses to the airport will be available from 24 hours before the flight departure time to 8 hours before the departure time. The land crossing will occur via the Nuwaiseeb border in the south of Kuwait.

Acting CEO of KA Abdulwahab Al-Shatti said that the airline currently has flexible plans in place, in order to respond to regional developments. He added that the safety of passengers and crew remains the carrier's top priority.

Passengers arriving at Khairan Mall will find a designated area where they can wait and receive their land transportation ticket. There will also be a baggage weighing area and a check-in counter. Travel procedures will be completed at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam.

Kuwait residents must obtain a transit visa for Saudi Arabia.

Jazeera Airways will also resume flights to an Egyptian city via a Saudi airport — Sohag via Qaisumah Airport. These flights will be operational from March 29.

The company's CEO, Prathan Basubai, told KUNA that this is the sixth destination operated by the airline in Egypt via Qaisumah Airport. He explained that travel procedures are completed at the Jazeera Airways passenger check-in center in Mishref International Fairgrounds, Hall 8, from where passengers are transported by bus to Qaisumah Airport to continue their journeys.
