The total deals on the first three days soared to Dh170.1 billion.

The UAE's Ministry of Defence continued its shopping spree at the Dubai Airshow, signing over a dozen deals worth more than Dh6.97 billion on Monday, while the total deals on the first three days soared to Dh170.1 billion.

Total defence deals for the first two days, comprising enhancement, maintenance and purchase of parts and ammunition for the UAE's Armed Forces and Air Force, reached Dh14.6 billion, almost the same amount which the UAE spent during the 2017 edition.

"The Dubai Airshow is a place for big deals and companies can use this platform to launch their innovations in the future," said Major-General Pilot Abdullah Al Sayyed Al Hashemi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence for Support Services, after the announcement of the deals.
