Suzuki Motor Corporation has issued a recall for the GSX-S750, GSX-R1000R and V-Strom 650 motorcycle models due to issues reported in sealing design on the fuel pump O ring set.
The company announced that the safety recall is in coordination with a directive from the Ministry of Economy, which had earlier called on auto dealers to conduct a review of all their products in order to ensure public safety.
A statement from Suzuki Motorcycle UAE said, "The problem lies with a faulty O-ring set in the fuel pump, which can get twisted and lead to fuel leakage, and may even cause a fire."
Under the recall, the company will replace the faulty O-ring set with a new and improved O-ring to fix the issue in the affected bikes. Customers have been notified about the recall and the O-rings will be replaced free of cost, the statement said.
The company issued a notification in newspapers in the UAE on Sunday, November 4.
