Talking to newsmen during his visit to Pak Suzuki Motor Company's plant in Karachi, the minister said the automobile industry's production has increased more than 100 per cent during the last five years.

Production of motor vehicles will reach 120,000 units in the next couple of years, he added. This, he said, shows the trust of investors in the economic policies of the government as a lot of investment is coming into the country.

Regarding National Finance Commission (NFC) Award, he said no decision has been taken so far. However, efforts are underway to resolve the issue.

Earlier, the minister inaugurated Pak Suzuki's Web site and newsletter, and said present facilities and recent expansion at Pak Suzuki will substantially contribute to the growth of automobile industry in Pakistan.
