The two airlines have announced a joint promotion package with immediate effect up to the end of the current summer season with the possibility of its being extended.

Under the collaboration agreement, passengers from the UAE are offered an attractive package under which they can fly from Dubai to Vienna, stay a couple of days to enjoy Austrian hospitality and fly to Cairo, halt there a couple of days as a guest of Egypt Air before flying back to Dubai.

The passengers can opt for flying from Dubai to Cairo first and after the stipulated stay in the ancient city can proceed to Vienna and utilise the Austrian hospitality under package before returning to Dubai.

It is a very attractive package for Egyptian expatriate passengers as well as tourists who look for budget tourism. The fare of Dh3, 474 for economy class and Dh8, 670 for business class include three nights stay in Vienna and 4 nights in Cairo. The accommodation is in standard hotels with double room and breakfast.

Passengers are however, offered flexibility and wide options to upgrade or increase or decrease their stay in Cairo or Vienna to suit their individual taste and requirements.

In view of the fast growing business of Austria, the tie-up with Egypt Air will give it the additional seat capacity in the short-term at least.

At the same time Egypt Air is gearing up to modernise the aircraft fleet as well as optimise utilisation and improve its efficiency and safety standards by launching a major restructuring and overhauling drive.
