Australians officials commend trade ties with UAE

MILBURN – AUSTRALIA - Lindsay Goding, Business Development Manager North Asia & Gulf Countries in Victoria’s tourism authority and Tim Sullivan, Director General of government and strategic partnerships have emphasized that the economic, trade and tourism cooperation’s between UAE and Australia are witnessing a continuous development.

In a statement to Emirates News Agency (WAM) Goding stated that 20 thousand Emiratis visit Australia annually, while, thousands of Australian’s spends their vacation in UAE, in addition to the participation of Australian businessmen in exhibitions and international conferences.

Goding also added that the Victoria’s State government aims at strengthening the bonds in the field of tourism with UAE, pointing out that he will be visiting the country at the end of this month to hold discussions with officials from the tourism sector in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah.

He also added that Victoria State and its Capital will participate in the Arabian Travel Market “Forum 2011” being taking place at Dubai World Trade Centre. Where new tourism products will be offered to the UAE and Gulf countries for the coming summer season.

Furthermore, he added that the partnership agreement between Virgin Blue Holdings Limited and Etihad Airways is an enormous joint agreement since it has offered more opportunities of launching direct services to Abu Dhabi.
