DUBAI — Arkan Building Materials reported a net profit of Dh57.3 million for the third quarter of 2007, an 18 per cent increase as compared to the company's second quarter profits.

The company's accumulated profits for the nine-month period ending September 30 stands at Dh143.7 million, with annualised earnings per share increasing from Dh0.099 in the second quarter to Dh0.109 in the third quarter. Financial income from term deposits has reached Dh16.6 million, an increase of Dh1.1 million from the corresponding period in 2006.
