Arab Bank offers new Visa card

DUBAI - Arab Bank has formally launched its new Visa credit card, the latest one in its retail banking services in the UAE, announced Mohammed Azab, UAE area manager, Arab Bank at a Press conference yesterday.

"The new Visa credit card offers customers the opportunity to boost their purchasing power and make their lives easier. Steady steps have been successfully made to start and develop retail banking services at Arab Bank," he said.

"We have initially started with personal loans, and then expanded into auto loans and now credit card which will complement our product offerings to our customer base."

The product launch comes in partnership with Visa International, a brand with a worldwide acceptability, added Azab.

"We are glad that our credit card launch comes middle of-Win Your Dream Home campaign, where users of five transactions in a month of our Visa credit and Visa electron cards will qualify for a draw to win Dh1 million home any where in the world," said Azab.

"The corporate oriented bank is now focusing on individual customers to provide them with customised products to satisfy their needs and add value to their banking experience. We have been operating in the UAE for the last 40 years mainly in the commercial and corporate banking business," he said.

The card comes with features including up to 52 days of interest-free credit. Cardholders may choose between Visa Gold or Visa Classic cards, and can avail up to 40 per cent of their credit limit in cash advances. One of the main advantages of this card is the interest rate on purchases is one of the lowest available in the market.

Visa credit card is the newest addition to Arab Bank portfolio of retail service, more products are planned in the near future, he added.
