Alumco wins Dh42m contract to dress up Sky Gardens tower

DUBAI — Alumco LLC, a specialiaed aluminium facade contractor and UAE's largest manufacturer, has won a landmark contract to supply a total of 64,000 square meters, worth Dh42 million, of its high quality aluminum facades to the prestigious 44-storied Sky Gardens project at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

Al Mal Securities establishes UAE brokerage operations

Al Mal Securities LLC, a subsidiary of Al Mal Capital, the UAE Investment Company, has announced the introduction of its Brokerage service to clients, having obtained all necessary approvals to operate as a full service Brokerage firm in the UAE.

Initially Al Mal Securities will offer its clients access to the UAE stock markets in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, making use of the most up to date systems and technology. Current expansion of the Brokerage arm includes an application with the Capital Market Authority to operate in Saudi Arabia, DIFX, and (Jordan).

UAE Internet bandwidth crosses 7.5 Gbps

Etisalat yesterday announced a significant increase in Internet bandwidth in the UAE with another 12 STM1 links being provisioned to meet user needs taking the total number of links to 49. The increased capacity of 7.5 Gbps (Gigabits per second) is the highest bandwidth capacity available with any single provider in the region. The expansion in capacity has been done with a view to accommodate the growth in Internet usage in the UAE and help in maintaining redundancy of operations.
