RIYADH — Shares in newly floated Saudi dairy firm Almarai will start trading on the Saudi stock exchange today, the kingdom’s Capital Market Authority said.
Saudi investors in July sought four times the number of shares available in a $613 million initial public offering of 4.5 million shares in the firm.
Almarai, 40 per cent owned by Saudi food group Savola, says it is the largest food exporter in Saudi Arabia with 4,000 staff, 45,000 livestock and a processing capacity of 1.4 million litres of milk a day.
