Al Mansouri Seeks More Joint Investment Projects with Turkmenistan

ASHGABAT - The UAE Minister of Economy Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri said that the coming times will witness an enhanced economic partnership between the UAE and Turkmenistan.

The UAE delegation led by Al Mansouri concluded an official visit to turkmenistan on Thursday exploring various avenues of cooperation between the two countries.

During his visit, the minister met the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow and several senior officials and discussed with them ways for bolstering economic relations between the UAE and Turkmenistan.

Accompanied by the delegation, he also toured several facilities, sites with major investment potential and economic ventures in Turkmenistan.

During the talks, berdimuhamedow stressed the need for both countries mutually benefitting from the expertise of each side through investments.

He called on the UAE firms to benefit from the economic boom witnessed in Turkmenistan through investment either in oil and gas projects or infrastructure.

Turkmenistan is witnessing an intensive development in land transport and railway lines.

Berdimuhamedow also pointed out the importance of continued interaction between the officials in the UAE and Turkmenistan, and promised every support to facilitate investment by the UAE companies in his country.

Al Mansouri stressed UAE’s keenness to enhance the bilateral relations with Turkmenistan and bolster economic partnership between the two countries, through the removal of all impediments in this regard.
