The Minister welcomed the suggestions made by the business group and highlighted the interest of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs over supporting the activities of all the business groups in Dubai, especially those related to the construction business sector, due to the remarkable construction boom which the emirate is witnessing and the increasing number of giant economic projects being carried out in Dubai.

Saeed Khalfan, head of the building and civil construction business group, said :" It is our first meeting with the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs as we carry some suggestions that would help organise the relation between the landlords and the contractors and other related issues."

Tariq Hilal Lootah, director of trade and industrial development department at DCCI, stressed the significance of these meetings, which are usually arranged in compliance with the DCCI's strategic policy aiming to support an effective and successful communication between the business groups in Dubai and the decision makers in the emirate.

"The DCCI is very keen on enhancing and activating contacts with the chamber's members and consider their recommendations and proposals, and be an effective and coordinative link between them and the official authorities concerned," he said.
