Al Futtaim is Worldspace distributor

DUBAI - Satellite radio pioneer Worldspace has appointed Al Futtaim Electronics as its distributor in the United Arab Emirates, said M Sebastian, vice-president and general manager, World Space Middle East.

He said: "Radio lovers will now be able to buy World Space receivers and subscribe to its services at all leading consumer electronics outlets including Plug-Ins, Jacky's, and Radio Shack across the United Arab Emirates. We are happy to be associated with Al Futtaim Electronics, who are the leaders in this market place dealing with trendy and top quality electronic products."

Mean while, Worldspace has appointed Oman's leading digital technology services provider, Mustafa Sultan Security and Communication Systems Co. LLC (MS SECOM), as its distributors in the Sultanate. Noorjehan Sultan, director of MSSCS said:

"The prime objective of launching the Worldspace service in Oman is to provide sophisticated radio programming currently unavailable here. The Worldspace service would serve to reinvent traditional radio listenership. As a leader in digital technology, MS SECOM aims to differentiate its products by incorporating new and innovative technology elements providing our customers with an enhanced audio digital entertainment experience. Together we will set a new regional technology benchmark."
