Ajman Free Zone takes part in Milan forum

DUBAI — Ajman Free Zone participated in the UAE - Italy Economic Partnership forum held in Milan, Italy from the 8-10 June 2005.

The delegation from Ajman was headed by Shaikh Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, director general, Ajman Free Zone, Ports & Customs, Mohammed Abdullah Al Hamrani, director general, Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Khalifa Al Mowaijee, chairman, Ajman Chamber Of Commerce

Al Hamrani, said: "The objective of the Economic Forum was to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and promote trade, commerce, industrial and technology transfer. The forum was supported by the Ajman Free Zone and the Chamber of Commerce along with other government organisations from the UAE. Italy has been an important market for the UAE and there is a strong influx of Italian companies & individuals to the UAE due to favorable business environment."

Al Nuaim said: "Ajman Free Zone provides a strategic base for Italian companies to tap the tremendous opportunities in

the UAE and emerging markets in the neighboring region. Currently there is a strong amount of inward investment from the European areas and in line with our initiatives, we will continue to offer strong initiatives to prospective investors from the region. "Prior to the UAE - Italy partnership Forum we also participated in the UAE - Germany Economic Partnership Forum. This stands as a testimony of our commitment in inviting the European business community to the Emirate of

Ajman. Our participation in trade fairs in Germany & Italy has resulted in a good inflow of investments in the Ajman Free Zone & we will continue our efforts in ensuring investment & success of these enterprises."
