Air India Express to add 40 extra flights from UAE to Kerala for Onam

To ensure enough flights from India to Sharjah and back during Onam, Air India Express (AIE) will be running additional flights in the belt.
The low-cost arm of the national carrier Air India, will operate 40 additional flights from Kerala and Delhi to Sharjah and back to cater to the Onam rush, The Hindu reported.
The flights will operate from August 22 to September 4 from Thiruvananthpuram, Kochi, Kozhikode and Delhi international airports.
16 flights will be from Thiruvananthapuram, six from Cochin and 14 from Kozhikode, the story further shares. Air India Express has plans to operate flights to other sectors in West Asia to cater to the rush of Non-Resident Keralites and it depends on getting the slot in the airports in West Asian countries, the daily reported.
