The MoC will enable the municipality to communicate easily with urban communities and housing complexes managed by ADCP. It also aims to activate the Tawtheeq system, which was recently launched by the municipality, based on the Executive Council Resolution No. 4 of 2011 covering the registration of all leasable properties and lease contracts.

The Tawtheeq System is a guarantee to all parties with a rental agreement for those relationships to be regulated, maintenance of rights and unification of the lease contracts registration mechanism in Abu Dhabi.

Owaida Al Qubaisi, Acting Executive Director of the Municipal Services at the Municipality, said, the accelerated registration of data into the system will provide regulatory frame for the relationships between all parties, setting a limit for any encroachments or violations including any disagreements, which may arise amongst parties. The system creates a stable and working relationship and assists in overcoming the possibility of misleading contracts and subcontracts as well as any subsequent material and immaterial damages, social, security and economic problems, Al Qubaisi said.

The new resolution stipulates coordination between all competent authorities concerning the implementation of its regulations and that the Tawtheeq system will be connected to an electronic system for registering the lease contracts. business@khaleejtimes.com
