The expansion of its C-level management team is part of Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies' strategy to target a $800 million revenue stream by 2012, which through its own client provision policy, is actively working to make Abu Dhabi an aviation centre.

Speaking on the recent appointments, John Byers, CEO , Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies, which is wholly-owned by Mubadala Development Company (Mubadala), said: "After repositioning Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies from the former Gulf Aircraft Maintenance Company (GAMCO) in November 2007, we set ourselves the aim of becoming one of the most sought after MRO providers in the EMEA region. We are now well on the way to achieving this."

"In Col Al Shamsi, Matta and Lewis, we have obtained a wide breadth of experience and talent, which will bring a new dimension to the company's offering. Their combined knowledge pool and expertise will be a critical factor in driving growth and enhancing our overall service offering to meet a wide range of client needs."
