AD Economic Department and Singapore firm sign deal

ABU DHABI - An agreement to develop the second phase of the industrial areas in Abu Dhabi was signed here yesterday between the Abu Dhabi Economic Department and Singapore's Jurong International Consultancy Office (JIC).

The agreement was signed by Shaikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Economic Department, and JIC's chairman and CEO Goh Song How.

Shaikh Hamed, who is also chairman of the General Industry Corporation's steering committee, underlined the interest of the President, His Highness Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, in the UAE industrial development and to benefit from international experiences in serving the national economy.

Shaikh Hamed said the agreement will help develop industry in the country and also help it to benefit from international experiences in industrial investment.
