The two-storeyed 34,100 square metres state-of-the-art showroom and customer services facility, costing over Dh220 million, will be the largest BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce showroom in the Middle East. “Abu Dhabi Motors is on an aggressive expansion path, and the Umm Al Nar showroom is only the first of many projects we will be undertaking this year,” said Arno Husselmann, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Motors. “This initiative is in line with Abu Dhabi Motors’ ‘culture of excellence’ business model. The facility once completed, will result in the exponential expansion of our sales and service operations.
” The new showroom brings the total number of facilities in the Abu Dhabi and Al Ain region to ten, comprising three showrooms, two workshops, two bodyshops, one Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) centre and two car storage warehouses that are capable of accommodating 600 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles between them. Expected to be completed in mid-2010, the Umm Al Nar facility will include a BMW and MINI showroom, alongside a dedicated 890 square metres Rolls-Royce showroom. Additional facilities comprise 135 work bays dedicated to after sales services, ensuring quick and timely turn around time of serviced vehicles, and a luxury customer and VIP lounge.
“The showroom promises to be one of the most impressive in the region, with a selection of premium facilities and services offered to BMW Group customers,” said Phil Horton, Managing Director, BMW Group Middle East. Abu Dhabi Motors recorded a 36 per cent sales growth in 2007, the highest among all BMW importers in the GCC, in addition to recording the highest Rolls-Royce sales for any one month, with 16 vehicles sold in September 2007.
Abu Dhabi Motors also sold the most Rolls-Royces in the Middle East in 2007 and achieved the third highest sales volume worldwide. “Last year, Abu Dhabi Motors implemented several key initiatives that have helped them become the highest selling premium luxury importer in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain in 2007, and the second best selling BMW importer in the Middle East.
The site also positions Abu Dhabi Motors in a premium development area, close to Al Raha Beach, Yas Island and the Abu Dhabi International Airport. “Having recently achieved high customer satisfaction rating amongs BMW exclusive dealers in the UAE, we realise the importance of providing the best service to customers who have purchased their BMW, MINI or Rolls-Royce vehicles,” explained Husselmann.
