Abu Dhabi Aviation to buy aircraft

ABU DHABI — Royal Jet, a company of Abu Dhabi Aviation is working to acquire an aircraft during the current year to keep up with the tremendous business growth, said Shaikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister for Public Works and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Aviation, while speaking at the annual general meeting.

He said that 2004 had been a great year for the Abu Dhabi Aviation and the Royal Jet business-wise, and, therefore, the company had decided to expand its repairs and maintenance services.

The assets of the company rose to Dh1 billion during the year from Dh878 million.

Earlier, shareholder approved ten per cent cash dividend while for approving ten per cent bonus share an extra ordinary general meeting will be held next week.

During the year ended December 31st, 2004, the company earned a profit of Dh84.623 million against Dh52million profit of previous year.

The earning per share improved to 4.52 during year 2004 against 2.78 during the year 2003.
