ABU DHABI — The 2nd GCC oil, gas and petrochemical project management forum will get underway tomorrow at the Abu Dhabi Hilton Hotel under the patronage of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).
The two-day forum to be held under the theme “managing the increased projects workload,’ is organised by the Project Management Institute-Arabian Gulf Chapter (PMI-AGC), which is a non-profit organisation for advancing Project Management excellence in the entire GCC region.
The purpose of the meeting, to be attended by about 10 companies from ADNOC group and other 15 major companies such as Saudi ARAMCO, SABIC, Qatar Gas, BAPCO, Oman Refinery and PDO, will be to exchange project management knowledge and improve communications among the companies.
The PMI-AGC goal is to foster professionalism, contribute to the improvement of quality and scope of project management and stimulate appropriate global technology application by sharing best practices knowledge through technical and conference meetings.
The first forum was held in March 2004 in Riyadh under the patronage of Saudi ARAMCO with the attendance of 30 delegates. among the recommendations of the first meeting was to hold the forum annually in one of the GCC countries.
