40% more visitors check out Hotel Show

DUBAI - The Hotel Show 2011, the region’s premier tradeshow for the industry, which took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre May 17-19, witnessed a significant 40 per cent increase in visitor numbers year-on-year.

The attendance figures which are to be audited by US-based BPA Worldwide reflect the buoyant industry mood throughout the region. The total number of visitors was in excess of 14,800 compared with 10,500 in 2010 an increase of 4,300 or 40 per cent.

“More importantly 38 per cent of visitors were looking for new suppliers this year and more than 28 per cent of those surveyed placed orders in excess of one million dollars,” said Frederique Maurell, Exhibition Director, The Hotel Show.
