Brian McFadden has brand new material out and he will be performing some of this live at The Irish Village on Thursday, November 15. There will also be special guest Sandi Thom on the bill, known for her hugely successful track I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair. Local artist Sam Tring will be the support act for Brian whose voice you've probably already heard around the city.
Brian's album will be released later in the year, called Otis, paying tribute to the soul legend Otis Redding. Brian is going back to his love for soul music that showcases his voice at the very best. It can also be expected that the Westlife hits will appear amongst the set, which you all know and love.
Brian began his singing career as a member of Westlife in 1998, during which time they achieved twelve number one singles.
Brian left the group in 2004 to pursue his solo career. He released his debut album Irish Son, with the first single reaching No.1. In 2005, his third single Almost Here, became another No.1 hit and went platinum.
In 2007, Brian released Like Only a Woman Can, his third Irish No.1. The following year Brian moved to Australia, where he released his second album Set in Stone. During the same year, he became a television presenter hosting Football Superstar. McFadden also took on the role of a breakfast show radio presenter.
In 2010, Brian released a single featuring American rapper Kevin Rudolf, Just Say So. It went straight in at No.1 in the Australian charts and spent 10 weeks in the top 10.
Following the success in 2010, McFadden brought out Wall of Soundz, his third studio album. In addition, Brian became a judge on Australia's Got Talent for three series.
Brian released his fourth album in 2013. The Irish Connection, featured interpretations of some of his favourite Irish songs.
In 2016, Brian formed a group with former Boyzone member Keith Duffy, the group is known as Boyzlife and together they have toured around the world, performing some of their greatest hits.
