Concerned about the unseasonal showers in Thane, Raigad, Mumbai and others parts of Maharashtra on Friday, several Hindi film celebrities echoed Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio's views on how climate change is "the most urgent threat" and for "real".
At the 88th Academy Awards on February 28 in Los Angeles, DiCaprio, in his Oscar acceptance speech for "The Revenant", said: "Climate change is real. It is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat affecting our entire species".
While actor Irrfan Khan agreed that "climate change is real", actress Jacqueline Fernandez referred to "The Revenant" actor's speech when rain came as a surprise in Mumbai, leading to a dip in temperature.
