The Bollywood witnessed one of its ugliest battles in the first half of this year with Kangana Ranaut calling Hrithik Roshan her silly ex. Soon after, the ex-files became a topic of discussion for the public and film industry. Kangana said that their love started on the sets of 'Kites', which was released in 2010. Though Hrithik denied her allegations, Kangana boldly said she wasn't ashamed of her past. Now, Hrithik's father Rakesh Roshan has broken his silence on Hrithik and Kangana's fight. In an interview to Indian newspaper Hindustan Times, Roshan defended Hrithik and said that whenever his son chooses to tell the truth, it would shock everyone. "Hrithik is different. Even when someone (Kangana) was spreading lies about him, he chose to stay calm and dignified. If he does choose to come out with the truth, it will shock everyone," he told the newspaper. Rakesh Roshan also clarified that it is Hrithik's choice if he wants to speak about the legal battle. "He is busy with his upcoming movie. Once he gets free, he might speak about it. It is his choice," added the 67-year-old filmmaker RELATED Hrithik's lawyers issue fresh statement in spat with Kangana Hrithik Roshan posts cryptic tweet about troubled times Court asks US firm to give info to police in Hrithik's fake email Will prove Hrithik has had no relationship with Kangana: Lawyers Sussanne opens up about getting back with Hrithik Hrithik Roshan posts cryptic tweet about troubled times According to recent reports, Rakesh Roshan has decided to avert a box-office clash with Shah Rukh Khan's film with Aanand L Rai and is thinking of releasing 'Krrish 4' at a later date. But, on the other hand, Hrithik Roshan-starrer 'Kaabil' and Shah Rukh Khan's 'Raees', will very much be releasing on the same day.
"I had announced my film in February last year. A sudden announcement about the release of another movie (SRK's Raees) is a little unethical. However, I can't stop any film from releasing on the same day. We have met a couple of times. I have told him (Shah RukhKhan) that nobody is going to gain out of this clash. I have also explained to him that I can't shift my film's release date, as I am a little superstitious. I would have changed the date had I not announced the film. I don't have an ego."
