Dream come true: 93-year old meets Will and Kate

The 93-year-old owner of a popular Mumbai eatery, Boman Kohinoor, finally got what he wished for, a coveted meeting with Prince William and Duchess Kate in Mumbai.

The Internet can really make dreams come true. The 93-year-old owner of a popular Mumbai eatery, Boman Kohinoor, finally got what he wished for, a coveted meeting with Prince William and Duchess Kate in Mumbai.

The iconic Parsi restaurant 'Britannia and Co' in South Mumbai is infamous for its "Berry Pulao", "Salli Boti" and Kohinoor's love for all things royal. On any given day Kohinoor can be seen ambling around the restaurant showing off his prized memorabilia (Letters, postcards) to guests that he received personally from Queen Elizabeth II. Even the walls are decorated with portraits of Queen Elizabeth and Prince William and Kate along with a massive Union Jack.
What started out as a video campaign by Condé Nast Traveller India soon snowballed into a massive trending topic on social media. Users used the hashtag #WillKatMeetMe to share the adorable video of the 93-year-old talking about how he had received a signed letter from Queen Elizabeth II after he invited her to his restaurant. A life-sized cut-out of the Queen had also been sent to him during the 75th jubilee celebrations of the British Monarch in 2012, which is now framed over the cashier counter.

Well, good job Internet! Kohinoor also spoke to Condé Nast Traveller India about his short meeting with the young Royals at the Taj Mahal Hotel saying, "I told them: give my love to the Queen, and to [your] children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, too. I wish I had more time to speak, but I'm thankful for this opportunity."
