As a makeup artist, one question I'm often asked is, "what is your favourite concealer?" It's not a straightforward answer as we are bombarded with new cosmetics releases almost daily. Also, a formula that suits your friend and that she swears is 'the best concealer ever' might make you look like you're a 100 years old. We all have different skin types and issues (think dark circles, fine lines, oily under-eyes that like to absorb mascara and turn into 'panda eyes' and so on). Which is why I've put together a list of my top concealers - and explained who, exactly, they will work for.
Full coverage/dark circle correction
Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage - This camouflage palette comes with two shades to address any correction needed (especially dark circles) while matching your tone perfectly. Being very highly pigmented means that it can give complete coverage without looking unnatural, making it a favourite amongst those who love a flawless but untraceable look.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Concealer - The feel is light but the coverage is very long lasting and doesn't significantly crease. Another plus is that it is easy to blend. This one is great for most skin types, especially oily. As an added bonus, the colour range is so varied you'll always find your colour match.

Dry skin/ fine lines
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer - The clever design makes this concealer foolproof to use and blend flawlessly. The formula is light, so if you have dryness, heavy bags or lines under your eyes, this will give your skin a subtle brightness without looking cakey. It's also amazing if you like a natural, clean but still flawless look.

Marc Jacobs Accomplice Concealer & Touch-Up Stick - The formula is soft and flexible, making it less likely to crease. The stick is designed to be applied with the fingertip for a blurred, buildable finish. Avoid if you have oily skin or if your mascara/ eyeliner tends to run during the day. Great if you have dry skin, dark circles or fine lines.
Available at Sephora
Oily skin
Tarte Shape Tape - Many rave that this is the new Holy Grail of concealers. Super long-lasting and covers dark circles extremely well. Dries to a powder finish and is full coverage, so not suitable for everyone (especially dry and/or mature skin). On the plus side, the shade range is comprehensive and Tarte has made it easy to find your perfect shade.
Dh115, available at Sephora
Dior Forever Undercover - Matte finish and water-resistant make this concealer perfect for summer in the UAE. It's especially suitable for oily skin types and the high pigment formula means full coverage with only a small amount of product.
