Ministry ends credit card fees on Dubai services sector payments

Dubai - A total of 3000 price detecting scanners have been installed at main sale outlets.

Fees charged for using credit cards in services sector has been abolished by the Ministry of Economy's Higher Committee for Consumer Protection.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday, the ministry said revoking of the fees will be effective on all services by the end of this year. The Ministry of economy official said during a tour of Carrefour stores in Deira City centre that a total of 3000 products price scanners have been installed at the main sale outlets.
"The Ministry targets installing the total of 3500 devices by the end of the year', the statement added.
