US firm sets up regional HQ in Dubai

DUBAI - CB Aviation, a US-based aviation consultancy firm, on Wednesday announced its plan to set up its regional headquarter in Dubai as part of its endeavor to disseminate the most advanced technologies, consultancies and aviation brokerage services in 
the region.

The US firm, which provides commercial and general aviation brokerage and consultancy services across the world, also appointed Saeed Al Mansouri as the vice-president of CB Aviation in the Middle East and Africa to further strengthen its position in the region.

“We will further expand our activities in Middle East and Africa through our second headquarter in Dubai,” Cory Bengtzen, President of CB Aviation, told Khaleej Times on the sidelines of a Press briefing at the airshow.

CB Aviation facilitates numerous services, which include handling sales transactions by displaying it through special techniques all over the world. Other services include acquisitions; financing services for consolidating airlines’ fleets or for buying businessmen jets; chartering services of aircraft of different brands and missions; and maintenance and spare part services.

Cory Bengtzen further said that the Middle East is a fast-growing aviation market and CB Aviation will further make inroads into the region through Dubai office.

“By virtue of being the pioneer in the region to establish its presence in the UAE expected to expand services to the Middle East, African, Asian and European markets.” He said the company has no plan to enter into military plane acquisitions, but it may make foray into air cargo business by acquiring a freighter to serve this segment in near future.

Saeed Al Mansouri, vice-president of CB Aviation for Middle East & Africa, said CB Aviation is driven to innovative approach to meet international standards by providing unrivalled services in all fields, using the world’s cutting edge technologies.

“CB Aviation is the world’s top company in terms of its extensive presence all over the world, along with 22 regional offices across the globe, the company employs the technologies to innovate the way to market an aircraft through the HD video, virtual tours and HD pictures.”

Al Mansouri said CB Aviation is focusing on the Middle East and African markets, which according to global statistics mentions growth rates of local tourism and aviation are expected to exceed the global figures to touch 20 per cent.

Referring to sources at the civil aviation sector, he said the volume of investments in projects in the Middle East exceeds $330 billion over the few coming years.

“This is reflected by the remarkable activity that Dubai Airshow is witnessing in terms of the number of participants, visitors and delegations as well as the deals that are annually concluded which are worth billions of US dollars,” he said.

“As we progress we will extend job opportunities for UAE nationals with dedicated training programme that enhances their knowledge and contribute to the ever growing fast faced civil aviation and aerospace industries,” Al Mansouri concluded.
