The registered exhibitors are amongst major international general aviation companies who will be coming to the Middle East for the first time. The Abu Dhabi Air Expo was launched by ADAC last August to be the first general aviation exhibition in the Middle East, the region’s version of Cannes Airshow.

Yousif Hassan Al Hammadi Chairman of the Organizing Committee for Abu Dhabi Air Expo, Deputy General Manager Al Bateen Executive Airport, said “During the National Business Aviation Association in Las Vegas, we were pleased to receive the interest by an important number of companies that are really keen to have a presence at the Middle East market. More than 62% of the allocated space has been already reserved and we are expecting more than 70 aircraft to be exhibited, including light sport aircraft, pistons, turbo prop, middle jet, and business jets.”

“All the General Aviation sectors will be represented during this first edition. Moreover, we are currently working with prestigious partners on developing workshops, as well as establishing the first Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) office for the Middle East, scheduled to open in March 2012” he added.
