Dubai—Air India Express (AIE), the low cost arm of India’s national carrier Air India, is now offering 30 kg free baggage allowance on all its flights from the region to India up to 31st May.
All passengers will be eligible for 30 kg Free Baggage Allowance (FBA) irrespective of the ticketing date, the airline’s Regional Manager-Gulf, Middle East and Africa Melwin D’Silva said in media statement on Sunday.
For the UAE, passengers can also opt for additional 10kgs over 30kgs FBA by paying Dhs100 from any Air India Express offices across the UAE or by paying Dhs150 from the airport at the time of departure, he stated, adding that this facility is subject to availability of load.
Additional 10kgs FBA can be similarly availed at other stations in the Gulf and Middle East region.
Passengers who have already paid for additional 10kgs of baggage will now be permitted to carry 10kgs over 30kgs FBA i.e. a total of 40kgs.
For further information on free baggage allowance passengers may contact Air India Express office or its appointed travel agents, said D’Silva.
