Abu Dhabi — Emirates Motor Company (EMC), the Mercedes-Benz authorised distributor in Abu Dhabi, on Tuesday rolled-out the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLA to meet growing demand for crossover SUVs in the UAE.

EMC, the flagship company of Al Fahim Group, launched the new generation vehicle, which has an engine power of 155kW [211hp] to target youngsters in the country. The engine features the ECO start/stop function and complies with the Euro 6 emissions standard.

The new model was unveiled at a Press conference in Abu Dhabi. Kamal Rafih, General manager of EMC; and Dirk Fetzer, director of sales and marketing at Daimler Middle East and Levant; explained the features of the new vehicle.

“The launch of the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLA within the ‘new generation’ vehicle segment articulates EMC’s priority to target youngsters while catering to the growing demand for crossover SUVs in the UAE,” Rafih said.

The model features a radiator grille with two silver-painted louvres and chrome inserts, as well as a 19-inch five-spoke light-alloy wheels and a twin-pipe exhaust system with chrome-plated tailpipe trim integrated into the bumper.

“With the launch of this new segment of vehicles, including the CLA four-door coupe, the sporty A-Class, and the all-new GLA now available across our showrooms in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, we expect to achieve record sales in the current financial year,” Rafih said.
