
Badr Jafar
Badr Jafar is the CEO of Crescent Enterprises, a multinational company headquartered in the UAE operating across ports and logistics, power and engineering, food and beverages, and business incubation. He also serves as President of Crescent Petroleum, the Middle East’s oldest privately owned oil and gas company.
In addition to his corporate leadership, Badr Jafar is a globally recognized advocate for sustainability, philanthropy, and inclusive economic development. He was appointed as the COP28 Special Representative for Business and Philanthropy, leading efforts to engage the private sector and philanthropic organizations in climate action. He also serves as a member of several global panels and initiatives, including the United Nations High-Level Panel on Humanitarian Financing and the World Economic Forum’s Stewardship Board on Economic Growth and Recovery.
Jafar is the founder of the Pearl Initiative, a non-profit organization promoting corporate accountability and transparency across the Gulf region. He actively champions youth development, education, and responsible business practices, collaborating with institutions such as the International Rescue Committee, Cambridge University, and the United Nations.
