Lt-Col Salem Sultan Al Darmaki, head of the CID, said the police were informed by a local resident that an Emirati man, T.R, 25, was in a serious condition after he was shot in the stomach by his younger brother who fled the scene.
Police rushed to the scene and shifted T.R., who was in a critical condition, to Saqr Government Hospital where he was admitted in the ICU.
Major-General Shaikh Taleb bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Director-General of Ras Al Khaimah Police, ordered the CID to act immediately and arrest the suspect after he received the information.
Al Darmaki said the CID teams carried out searches and arrested S.R. after a few hours from an old house in the emirate where he was hiding.
