Youth injured in bike accident
AJMAN — An American national was seriously injured in an accident while riding his motorbike on Sheikh Maktoum Road in Ajman.
Colonel Ali Saeed Al Matrooshi, Director of the Traffic Department of Ajman Police, said on Monday that investigation to find out the reason of the accident occurred on Saturday is going on. He said the accident could have been a result of over speeding by the rider or he might have been hit by some other vehicle.”
The biker, in his twenties, sustained multiple injuries and fractures and was immediately transferred to a nearby hospital.
Colonel Al Matrooshi explained that the accidents involving motorbikes are considered serious as the body of the rider would be directly affected. Car accidents are comparatively safer as the outer structure of cars become a protective shield to motorists .
