As part of its efforts to ease traffic congestion in the emirate, the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department (AMPD) has started the construction of Al Rashidiya Bridge at a cost of Dh150 million.
The municipality, in coordination with the Ajman Traffic Department, has established detours to organise traffic movements. A top official said that the work started last week and the project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of next year.
The implementation of the project comes under the directives of Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council and Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the AMPD.
The three-kilometre bridge will create an access to the Sheikh Khalifa Street.
