A total of 40 police women successfully completed three specialised courses carried out with the help of security experts from France, Switzerland and the UAE, said Lieutenant Masoud Ibrahim Al Hammad, Head of the Policewomen Section and scientific coordinator of the three courses. "The women have been selected in accordance with stringent standards taking into consideration their courage and speed in taking decisions. They have proved their capabilities in facing difficulties and withstanding tough training sessions. They will be needed to be present at events hosted by the UAE, particularly in Dubai, throughout the year," said the official.

The first course involved specialised VIP protection and shooting sessions for two weeks, supervised by French experts. The second involved descending from buildings and helicopters. The third involved further VIP and shooting sessions supervised by Swiss experts.
